Following the release of her new track, “Angel” global recording artist and world’s best-selling soprano, Sarah Brightman, announced that she would begin her “Dreamchaser” World Tour in January 2013. The tour will hit five continents over 100 concert dates, including a stop at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 8:00 PM. Fan community presale tickets for the North American dates will be available October 9-11 with tickets going on sale to the general public, Monday, October 15 at 10:00 AM.
Unique VIP concert packages will also be available, offering concertgoers an engaging and intimate ‘Dreamchaser’ experience.
The track “Angel” is taken from her highly anticipated new album “Dreamchaser,” which will be released on January 22, 2013.
“I am incredibly excited to be sharing this new music and to be able to give a taste of what is to come on the album in January.” said Brightman “Angel is a track that is very dear to me, as it lends voice to some of the hopes I have for the next stage of my career whilst casting an eye right back to my childhood. Over the past two and a half decades, Sarah Brightman has distinguished herself as the world’s biggest selling soprano of all time with global sales reaching over 30 million units. She has received more than 180 gold and platinum awards in over 40 countries. Brightman pioneered the classical crossover music movement and is the only artist to have simultaneously topped the Billboard dance and classical music charts.
She was also the first artist to have been invited to perform the official theme songs at the Olympic Games on two occasions. The first was at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, which was followed 16 years later by a performance at the opening ceremony in Beijing.
Brightman recently accepted the UNESCO nomination to be an “Artist for Peace” Ambassador for her “commitment to humanitarian and charitable causes.” She has appeared in several films, including “Repo! The Genetic Opera” (2008), directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, and Stephen Evans' “First Night” (2011).
